Lincoln University have been presenting a few new faces to schools, and at A &P shows and careers events around New Zealand this year.
Domestic Student Liaison Team Leader Anna Logie says her team comes from diverse backgrounds and have a lot to offer to prospective students deciding on their tertiary future.
New addition Olivia Taffs comes from a city upbringing but saw the primary industries as a career path. She has a Diploma in Agriculture and Diploma in Farm Management from Lincoln and ventured into dairy farming.
Recently appointed Māori Liaison Officer Tana Luke has a background as an event’s coordinator. He is passionate about kaupapa Māori, rangitahi (young people), sport (having a strong rugby pedigree himself), and tikanga and Te Reo.
Katie McCabe has worked as a student liaison for former Lincoln campus Telford, which has a strong primary industries training focus, before coming to the University this year, while Rania Alani has strengthened Lincoln’s presence in the busy Auckland market this year.
Anna has stepped up to the team leaders role recently and offers insights for students transitioning from school to university, having come from a secondary teaching background in Otago and Christchurch.
Longer-term team member Blake Hoare has a Bachelor of Tourism Management from Lincoln and has worked in the hotel sector. He is kept busy covering Marlborough/Nelson/Tasman as well as the Bay of Plenty.
