    Lincoln University Music Society's first concert of the year is a farewell recital by staff member and popular Christchurch jazz singer Andrea Millward, who leaves for overseas at the end of the month.

    Accompanied by Ben Gerard, piano, Johnny Lawrence, upright bass, and Matt Gibb, drums, Andrea will present a programme including jazz standards by the likes of Shearing, Jobim, Kern, Strayhorn and Gershwin.

    The concert, with free admission, is open to residents of the townships and communities around Lincoln University and all are welcome to join staff and students in Memorial Hall for this farewell recital.

    The date is Wednesday 8 March and the starting time for the hour-long concert is 12.40pm.
