Lincoln University's Professor of Ecology Steve Wratten has been appointed a Visiting Professor at the University of Sydney, Orange.

Visiting professorships are a distinction awarded to academics recognising at a high level the value of their teaching and research contributions between institutions. Professor Wratten has been a staff member at Lincoln University since 1993 and was awarded a personal professorship in ecology in 1996.

(Note: Visiting professors stay on the staff of their parent university – so it's not a shift in job but a way of formally recognising the importance of a link with another university. Visiting professorships rank highly in the academic world and are fairly rare.)
