“I knew nothing about the profession – I just arrived”

Di Lucas studied natural sciences at the University of Otago, completing her BSc in 1971. She’d been at a loss to know what to do next and then discovered that Lincoln College was offering a post-graduate Diploma in Landscape Architecture. She knew little about the profession but intuitively sensed it was something she wanted to do, especially when she discovered some attendance at the Ilam fine arts school would be required. She completed her DipLA in the 1972-73 class.
