    About

    Charles J. Hamblyn (B.Agr., Dip.Agr., C.A.C. (1920-22). Mr C. J. Hamblyn, Fields Superintendent, Department of Agriculture, Palmerston North.

    Mr Hamblyn had been engaged in extension work with the Department of Agriculture since 1924 and was a vigorous advocate of pasture improvement and of many outstanding changes in pastoral practices that have contributed substantially to increased production. After serving as an Instructor in Agriculture at Whangarel for many years Mr Hamblyn was appointed to Palmerston North as Fields Superintendent, in which capacity he gave to many farmers and extension officers the benefit of his wide experience.
