    Research puts the spotlight on tourism. Notable research contributions were made in 2012 by Lincoln University academics in the field of tourism. In collaboration with the Tourism Industry Association New Zealand (TIA), Director of Research Strategy and Development, Professor David Simmons, presented a State of the Tourism Sector report; while Director of Postgraduate Studies, Professor Ken Hughey, has been involved with research examining the impact of climate change on the tourism industry in the interest of preparedness.
