    Community Resilience

    Expand/collapse
DescriptionCommunity Resilience. It has often been said that since the 7.1 earthquake on 4 September 2010 and continual aftershocks, Christchurch faces ‘a new normal’. Senior Lecturer in Urban Studies, Dr Suzanne Vallance, is exploring ways to promote community resilience so that post-disaster recovery is less about ‘bouncing back to normal’ and more about thriving in perpetually changing environments. Project: Urban resilience: A community guide to bouncing back, coping and thriving. Researchers: Dr Suzanne Vallance, Professor David Thorns, Associate Professor Ann Dupuis.Corporate AuthorLincoln UniversityPersonS. VallanceD. ThornsA.
