Focus on immune response offers promise

    Expand/collapse
DescriptionFocus on immune response offers promise. The cost of parasite infestations in sheep is high. Diminished weight-gain, for example, impacts directly on farm productivity and profitability. Parasitism costs the New Zealand sheep industry an estimated $700 million per year. If that cost can be minimised, economic benefits are obvious. Project: Desensitizing sheep to parasites: a novel vaccine regime. Researchers: Dr Andrew Greer, Andrea Hogan, Robin McAnulty, Dr John Huntly and Dr Tom McNeilly (Moredun Research Institute).Corporate AuthorLincoln UniversityPersonA. GreerA. HoganR. McAnultyJ.
