Lincoln University basketball scholar, Pafe Momoisea has been included in the New Zealand Select team to take on the best of the National Basketball League in the inaugural Schick 3X3 Cup.
The competition runs from competition November 12th – 14th and the inclusion of the select side of rising stars is part of building the strength and depth of the nation's 3X3 basketball stocks.
The growing sport was set to debut at the now postponed 2020 Summer Olympic Games in Tokyo, Japan.
Shooting guard Pafe has already represented Counties Manukau U19s in 2017, Auckland U23 in 2018 and 2019, as well as Coker University (NCAA DII) in the United States, also in 2018 and 2019.
At Lincoln, 3x3 basketball has been a big hit, with men’s and women’s teams both travelling to China for the tertiary world cup before, though international events in 2020 have been cancelled due to Covid-19.
