It is with sadness that we are contacting our Lincoln University family following the horrific attacks in Christchurch.
Sadly, the university is likely to have lost members of our family. A short memorial service will be held near the flagpole in front of Ivey Hall on Monday, 18 March at 12 noon. All staff and students are welcome to attend.
Our leadership team stands by its staff and students as "parents" of the Lincoln University family.
That family includes members from throughout New Zealand and from numerous countries internationally. Many faiths and beliefs are represented among us.
Be assured that the university is right beside you as you come to terms with the tragedy that has now affected the lives of all of us in New Zealand.
Lincoln University will work compassionately to support its family members - staff, students and alumni - who are suffering from Friday's tragedy.

Campus is open
It is business as usual, however staff and students will need to remain vigilant. 24-hour campus security will remain in place on Monday. We also acknowledge that some staff will not be able to come into work on Monday. If this is the case, please let your manager know as soon as possible.
EAP services on campus
For staff and family members, EAP services provide free support and counselling. EAP will be operating a drop-in service in the VC Lounge (first floor of Forbes) on Monday from 11am to 4pm for anyone who would like to access the service. At all times, you can phone 0800 327 669 (it is a 24-hour service) or go to the EAP website.

* Victim Support 24-hour crisis line on 0800 VICTIM or 0800 842 846.
