Two amazing PhD scholarship opportunities for fully-funded research with one of Lincoln University’s new research centres have arisen.
The scholarships are associated with the Food for Future Consumers Centre of Excellence, which aims to identify the unique value proposition for food from New Zealand in the future and determine how this value can be captured for the benefit of producers, processors and the wider economy.
The first scholarship involves undertaking an analysis of consumers, especially in relation to alternative proteins.
You would be based in the Agribusiness and Economic Research Unit at Lincoln University and should have a background in economics and/or marketing.
The closing date is 30th June 2019 and qtrials can be sent to either caroline.saunders@lincoln.ac.nz or Teresa.Cunningham@lincoln.ac.nz
The second scholarship is in the field of wine metagenomics.
You will be investigating the diverse microbiome associated with winemaking in New Zealand, in order to explore its complex relationship with the organoleptic properties of the product.
Prior experience with DNA-based molecular biological methods is preferred.
