The holistic approach two Lincoln University students took to a business competition last week proved to be a winning one.
Master of Tourism student Wut Yee Kyi Pyar and Bachelor of Commerce student Anna French combined with their University of Canterbury counterparts to claim first place in the Deloitte Business Case Competition, hosted by the University of Canterbury Centre for Entrepreneurship (UCE).
The pair met in their Business and Sustainability course (BMGT612/301) where diversity and holistic sustainable added value are the ingredients for successful future-proofed business.
Along with their teammates they had to advise the judges on a business case challenge case about maintaining business growth of a company in the 90min challenge.
Their recommendations detailed how to expand the business by sharing ideas for analysis of growth and holistic sustainable added value strategies.
Wut Yee thank her lecturers “who have taught us the practical relevant business theories and skills to address a business challenge in a holistic manner”.
