The new 3X3 basketball game format, which will feature in next year’s Olympics, is proving to a winner for Lincoln with the men’s side qualifying an international tournament in Japan in 7-8 September.
The LU women’s side has already booked a place at the world 3x3 tertiary champs in China in October for the third consecutive year, a trip the men have also been on in 2017. Last weekend the Lincoln team of Jayden Chan, Josiah Williams, Ben Hall and Ihaia Kendrew secured second place in the South Island Conference of 3x3.EXE Premier League.
With all expenses paid, they will compete for a share of USD$20,000 in prize-money in Tokyo at the 3x3.EXE Premier League finals and the chance to qualify for a FIBA World Tour Masters Event.
