      Monthly Summary

      Apart from sixty- two hours more sunshine than usual the climatic features were close to the average for the month. Rainfall of 1.89 inches, well distributed throughout the month, was beneficial to crops, pastures and Lucerne stands, but made the making of hay slow, and reduced the quality of fairly large quantities. As a result of reasonable spring rains hay cuts have been heavier this year than for a number of years...
