      Monthly Summary

      Drought conditions were relieved by substantial rainfall on 21st and 22nd. Rainfall for the month of 2.36 inches was 55 points above average. Temperatures were 3 degrees higher than usual; sunshine and miles of wind were above normal. The rain which fell early in the month was made ineffective by hot soil
